Ronaldo has his roots in upstate New York, attending college in Ithaca at Cornell University and growing up in Rochester. While at Cornell he studied painting with Kaye Walkingstick. Upon moving to New York City he enrolled in the Art Student’s League where he studied under the tutelage of Hugo Bastidas for over 12 years. Now he operates from a studio in Union Square. Early in Ronaldo’s career he found success participating in group shows throughout the city including, The Art Student’s League on 57th St., Soho and the Frying Pan. He also displayed his work at a local Long Island City restaurant called the Creek and the Cave. Over the past decade however, Ronaldo has become engrossed in the Robotitry Tour. So far he has painted over 50 Robots, created a 10 minute short film and launched a clothing line.
